Reading 96

Reading 1996 Festival

The Stone Roses’ gig marked the absolute downturn of the band – after that, the “reasonable doubt” given to the changes operated by Ian Brown (at the time, only him and Mani were still playing since their debut album) expired, and the press turned in quite violently against the new line-up. Select themselves would be asking their heads just a couple of issues later.

Scanned from the August 1996 Select issue. Sorry about the quality, but it’s a full-page ad – I’d need a larger scanner to do this properly.
